About the Fleming Family Foundation

Some legacies are built on land. Others are built on love. For the Fleming family, it's both.

Shady Brook Farm has been rooted in Bucks County, Pennsylvania since 1913, when it began as a humble truck farm, growing greens that made their way up and down the East Coast. Over more than a century, that small family operation grew into something far greater — one of the region's most beloved agritainment destinations, and a gathering place where families come together to create memories worth repeating, season after season.

Now in its fourth generation of family stewardship — with a fifth already growing into the role — the Flemings have never lost sight of what matters most: community.

The Fleming Family Foundation was born from that conviction. What started as a simple idea — opening the gates of Shady Brook Farm's spectacular Holiday Light Show early so families could experience the magic up close through Dashin' Thru the Lights! in 2016 — became something much more meaningful. The proceeds from that first run found their way to neighbors facing hardship: local ambulance and police departments, families navigating health crises, and those picking up the pieces after house fires and other hardships beyond their control. That spirit hasn't changed. It's only grown.

The Fleming Family Foundation exists in gratitude — for over a century of community support that helped a family farm not just survive, but flourish. It is our privilege and our purpose to give that support back, and to ensure that the warmth felt at Shady Brook Farm extends far beyond its fields.
